Pimpama Sports Hub is Sprinting

The new Pimpama Sports Hub is sprinting away with stage 1 open and stage 2 construction well underway. Stage 1 includes 12 netball courts, parking, some shelter and a clubhouse. The clubhouse includes space for administration, amenities and storage. There is shady parkland with walking trails and a natural watercourse. In addition, there is also a natural amphitheatre designed for outdoor events.

Stage 2 appears to be massive. This stage will include an aquatic centre, tennis courts and community centre. The aquatic centre will have an Olympic standard swimming pool.

The location on Rifle Range Road is handy to all of 4209 residents being between Coomera and Upper Coomera, and just down the road from Willow Vale.

The GCCC website says:

Our goal is to make the northern Gold Coast one of the most liveable and desirable areas of the Gold Coast. We are committed to delivering this sporting and community hub so it can become a place for residents and visitors to engage in social, cultural, recreational and educational activities like never before.

With the population of our part of the Gold Coast expected to double in just 15 years, it is good to know more facilities and infrastructure are underway.

The Gold Coast City Council has a cool video showing construction progress.
